Ear, Nose and Throat
As a specialist in allergy and immunology, Dr. Majmudar at Majmudar Allergy treats a wide range of conditions related to the ears, nose, and throat. At Majmudar Allergy, we provide comprehensive care and management of a variety of conditions through medications, injections, and coordination with other specialists.
What Are Common ENT Conditions?
There are a variety of ENT conditions that can cause numerous symptoms and impact quality of life if left untreated. At Majmudar Allergy, some of the most common ENT issues we successfully treat are:
Nasal Polyps
Nasal polyps are noncancerous growths that develop in the nasal passages and are typically caused by chronic inflammation. Symptoms include loss of smell, nasal congestion, post nasal drip, facial pressure, and more.
At Majmudar Allergy, we help manage nasal polyps through steroid nasal sprays or solutions and for some, biologic injectable medications. In some cases, referral for surgery may be necessary if medications fail to shrink the polyps.
Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EOE)
Eosinophilic Esophagitis, also sometimes called EOE, is inflammation of the esophagus and deposits of eosinophils, often triggered by an allergic reaction to foods. Symptoms include trouble swallowing, food impaction, heartburn and reflux symptoms.
At Majmudar Allergy, we perform allergy testing to identify trigger foods and provide dietary guidance to avoid problem foods. There are biologic injections and new steroid suspensions for treatment of severe cases.
Acute and Chronic Sinus Infections
At Majmudar Allergy, we also treat recurrent acute sinus infections as well as chronic sinusitis that lasts three months or longer. This includes prescribing antibiotic therapy when appropriate and intranasal steroid sprays to reduce inflammation.

Why Treating ENT Conditions is Important
If left untreated, ENT (ear, nose, and throat) conditions can profoundly impact quality of life. Nasal congestion, pain, pressure, loss of smell and taste, trouble breathing, and swallowing difficulties can significantly impact your daily routine.
The persistent sensations and inflammation also increase the risks of other medical complications over the long term. Treating ENT issues is critical because proper management can transform your ability to breathe, sleep, and eat without symptoms interfering.
The right medications and procedures can shrink troublesome polyps and open up airways for free airflow again. Therapies also help prevent acute sinus or middle ear infections from becoming chronic issues that never fully resolve.
Treatment and Management of ENT Conditions
At Majmudar Allergy, we offer both medical management and injection therapy for appropriate ENT conditions. Medications may include intranasal steroid sprays, oral steroids, and antibiotics.
For severe nasal polyps we offer injection therapy with biologic medications like Dupixent and Nucala for patients who qualify based on symptoms and testing. These injectable biologics work to significantly reduce inflammation causing nasal polyp growth, leading to improved smell, breathing, and quality of life.
For eosinophilic esophagitis, we often use topical steroids such as fluticasone to reduce inflammation and swelling along the esophagus that interferes with swallowing. Dupixent, a biologic, is also available for certain patients. Dr. Majmudar may also guide dietary changes to eliminate trigger foods causing allergy-related eosinophilic inflammation.
Additionally, we ensure proper treatment of associated conditions like acid reflux that can exacerbate symptoms. Our goal is to offer both pharmaceutical and lifestyle interventions to obtain lasting control of ENT issues and inflammation.
At Majmudar Allergy, we use a patient-centered approach that provides excellent improvement for the ENT conditions we commonly treat.
